Determination of wood structure based on sound resonance analysis
Development of new technology through a R&D project, as an evolution of DTec's current audio technologies. The goal will be the detection of physical properties of wood of any size and thickness by analysing the sound resonance of the material.
A microphone in contact with the wood should be used in order to avoid environmental noises and get maximum sound detail. A well know resonant stimulus should be applied to the wood in order to analyse the sound response.
The new technology could benefit from base audio technology currently used in existing DTec's products, more specifically in BioVox (voice biometrics) and AudioWatermark (audio steganography technology for embedding information into an audio signal).
