Avy - Aera 4 (Drone-in-a-box) solution
Aera 4 is our Dutch drone technology designed for physical protection against natural disasters and also protection of Critical Infrastructure.
Our fixed-wing vertical takeoff and landing (VTOL) drone, means the aircraft can take off and land like a helicopter but then fly efficiently like a plane, giving it much greater range (Up to 250 km) and endurance than typical quadcopter drones.
Our systems are designed to be operated autonomously and can be controlled remotely from thousands of kilometres away, often without needing a pilot on site.
The drones form part of a Drone Network including docking stations which allows the drone to be charged autonomously (Without human interaction).
Our Avy Aera 4 is designed for long endurance and autonomous operation.
Key capabilities of the Aera4 drone:
- Long-range autonomous flight: Up to 250 km range and about 1–2.50 h flight time.
- Communication: 4G
- Payload options: Capable of carrying up to ~3 kg of payload, including high-resolution cameras or specialised modules (e.g., medical transport).
- Drone Camera / Payload: 80x zoom (40x optical), excellent stabilization, and AI-driven object tracking, delivering clear day/night surveillance, border patrol, and search & rescue capabilities with features like geolocation and HD recording, supporting missions requiring long-range visual detail and precision from aerial platforms.
- Weather robustness: Designed to fly in rain and up to high winds (e.g., up to 30 knots).
- All-weather and automated: Launches in 30 seconds, connected via secure cloud software, fully automated path planning and return.
- Safety features: Often includes redundancy and even an onboard parachute for safer operations.
